Beginner Level
In this course, students will be learning how to play the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Each class will have a lesson portion and a dueling portion. The lesson portion will be for students to learn new Yu-Gi-Oh topics and game mechanics, while the duel portion will be for students to test their skills against one another by dueling, using the official Yu-Gi-Oh! game simulator: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The lessons will be presented in PowerPoint presentations through direct instruction, allowing students to participate by answering teacher questions and allowing students to ask questions of their own. They will also join a Google Classroom to keep track of their progress and take short quizzes through Google Forms to assess what they have learned. Learning Goals
Students will learn beginner concepts of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game which includes Monster Cards, Spell/Trap Cards, and Deck Building strategies.

Parental Guidance
Google Forms will be used to keep track of student progress. Students will be able to take an assessment after each class to assess their lesson comprehension.
Blooket will be used to review concepts from past lessons. Teacher will share his screen to host the different review games. Parents may create an account for their learner in order for them to collect different Blooks (characters), but it is not required.
For students to participate in Duel Days, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will need to be downloaded. This free official Yu-Gi-Oh simulator can be downloaded on a mobile device or tablet through the app store . It can also be downloaded on any console, such as PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. It has an official rating of PEGI 7. Once downloaded, student will be able to create an account and start playing.
