In this one-time orientation class, students will be introduced to the game of Yu-Gi-Oh! by learning basic game mechanics and the different types of cards in the game. We will also discuss how future Duel Academy courses will be set up.
Class experience
In this course, students will go through a one hour orientation. In this orientation, students will learn what Yu-Gi-Oh! is and the basics of the trading card game. This will be presented in a PowerPoint presentation through direct instruction, allowing students to participate by answering teacher questions and allowing students to ask questions of their own. Students will learn the origins of Yu-Gi-Oh! Followed by the basics of the card game that include the types of cards in the game (Monster, Spell, and Trap), and basic game mechanics.
