US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this 2 week Science course, learners will learn about plants and how they grow, flowers and seeds, trees and grouping them and even carnivorous plants! This course includes STEM activities. Do you love learning about plants? In this Science Class, learners will learn about plants in a fun and interactive way. This course aims to provide meaningful learning experiences for young scientists. Passionate About Plants Day 1 - Flowers and Pollination Day 2 - The Importance of Plants: What They Give Us Day 3 - Classifying and Grouping Plants and Trees Day 4 - The Impact of Deforestation Day 5 - Carnivorous Plants And Other Amazing Plants Day 6 - Letβs Be Nature Detectives and Grow Our Own Learners will be required to: βοΈUse household objects to complete the experiments/research projects βοΈUpload photos of their experiments/projects to the classroom βοΈReport their findings and share with other learners through JamBoard βοΈUpload copies of the activities to the classroom βοΈComplete a challenge in the classroom by working together together βοΈDo research on aspects of plants and share in the classroom to complete the jigsaw. βοΈComplete Kahoot quizzes to cover what has been learnt The videos will be available for the length of the course. Supply List
Learners will need paper, pen, pencil and crayons for each class. Some classes may require things to be cut out before the class and for learners to bring glue to class with them. Some classes involve a simple experiment. The required materials will be posted to the classroom. Please print out or download the relevant handouts in advance of each class. These will be uploaded to the 'Classroom' by Monday each week.
