I will provide feedback to all video submissions by either video or written feedback on moves and progress. Feel free to message me at any time with any further questions!Class Experience
There are *no* live meetings for this class. The material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week at your convenience. Each week for 4 weeks, students will learn the dance moves in sections to the entire song 'Boy With Luv' by BTS! Each week I will post pre-recorded videos breaking up the whole song into counts of 8. Since I specialize in video editing, I have slid in some fun edits to my videos, so that they're both productive and entertaining (perfect for you meme lovers), it's a dance class like no other! After learning each section, the student can then film themselves performing the dance as homework (optional). I will provide feedback to all video submissions by either video or written feedback on moves and progress. Feel free to message me at any time with any further questions! The students can then share their videos for the other students to watch and comment on. This will help learners share their opinions, experiences and ultimately learn from each other. To enhance the classroom experience, there will be weekly themed questions and activities for the students to participate in. Class format: Class will start with brief introduction. I'll then move onto our warm-up routine so we're nice and stretched. I'll then proceed to break down the moves of the song into counts of 8 and connecting the moves together. We'll then practice with music several times starting out slowly (approx 60% speed) and then increasing the speed each time. (The best part about flex class is you can pause, rewind and go at your own pace). Throughout the class I will explain useful dance techniques that are often found in K-Pop/hip-hop dancing. Once the whole section is finished, the class will finish with cool-down stretches). Session 1: - Introduction - Warm-up - 1st & 2nd Verse Choreography - Cool-down Session 2: - Warm-up - Pre-Chorus & Chorus Choreography - Cool-down Session 3: - Warm-up - 3rd & 4th Verse Choreography - Cool-down Session 4: - Warm-up - Final Pre-Chorus & Chorus Choreography - Cool-down
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to co-ordinate dance movements and how to express themselves through dance.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Due to this being a movement class, please ensure your child has an open space to dance in (6ft x 6ft) and ensure there are no objects nearby for potential collisions. Students must wear appropriate attire and footwear for dancing. Please also have water available to drink as needed throughout the class. The class will feature a 3-4 minute stretching/low intensity warm up and stretching cool down, however additional stretching prior/after the class is also encouraged based on the individual's personal needs. Although unlikely, injuries may occur if students do not have enough open space, adequate stretching, or parental supervision during class.
In addition, since this class is performance based, it is preferable that students have their cameras on to evaluate progress.
