Let's Learn English: Private ESL Tutoring!

This is an ongoing private English tutoring class that will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays for 30 minutes at 3:00pm PST.

The lessons will be based around a theme that will change each month. For example, animals, family, colours, and more. Each individual lesson will have new vocabulary words based on the theme that month, as well as grammar, verbs, phonics, reading skills, sentence frames, and basic math.

Grammar sections will include learning skills such as capital letters, punctuation, nouns, adjectives and more. Verb sections will include learning how to conjugate verbs which means writing the correct verb endings based on the subject. Phonics sections will include learning letter sounds, as well as combining letters to create new sounds. Student will use these new sounds when reading and forming sentences. Lastly, math sections will include learning numbers from 1-20, basic addition and subtraction, shapes and more. 

These lessons will be completed through an interactive slideshow. If the students device allows, they will be able to circle answers, draw lines to match, and fill in the blanks. 

There is also an optional "My ABC Book" download that students may complete. It is a PDF download of the Alphabet where students can colour and decorate each letter and practice writing. We will not go through this download in class, it is rather an extra for the student on their own time.

This is a private ESL tutoring class that will incorporate student interests and likes to make it more engaging for them. The student will be provided with lots of attention since it is not a large classroom setting. This will allow the student to ask any questions they may have and allow us to take longer on areas that may need extra practice.
