In this one-time class, we will learn about 10 of the 17 penguin species. These will include: Emperor, Rockhopper, Adèlie, Chinstrap, Gentoo, Little Blue, King, Royal, African, and Snares.
Class experience
In this class, we will look at 10 of the 17 penguin species. We learn about the characteristics and locations of each species. We learn fun facts and vocabulary of these penguins. We listen to different sounds and calls from some of the penguins. We watch short clips of each penguin in their habitats. We take fun, short quizzes about what we have learned. We learn how to draw a penguin! We play a penguin "Memory" game! You get worksheet pages to create your own "Penguin Fact Booklet" where...
There are optional worksheets to print out. There is a drawing part, so a piece of paper and pencil. Crayons, colored pencils or markers are optional.
