Let's Count! Let's Add and Subtract, With Songs and Finger Plays
What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time class, students will count, add, subtract and say numbers as we sing number songs and do actions to finger plays, relating to numbers. This will be an interactive class, where students will have lots of opportunities to count, add or subtract 1 or 2 and tell the new quantity as we sing. There will be lots of actions and movements throughout this class. We will start with a greeting song to greet everyone, calling each child by name. We will then do an Ice Breaker together- eg clap hands 3 times; quack like a duck 4 times. Slides will be used for some songs where children will count objects, tell the number showing and then add or subtract as the songs indicates. We will also use our fingers to count and do actions to finger plays. Students will have a work sheet at the end to draw an amount or circle the correct number that tells the amount. (This will be sent out prior to class). We will work on this together as time permits, then sing a goodbye song. My classroom is a place where learning is fun and engaging. I believe that children learn best when they enjoy what they do. I love to be their cheer leader and provide lots of encouragement to help them succeed. I am very patient and kind and look forward to meeting learners from around the globe.
