Beginner Level
Students will be learning to use the CapCut app as an introduction to the study of video editing. Students will be instructed to download the app to their tablet or iphone before the first class begins. Over the course of 5 short (10-15 minute) lessons, students will get a crash-course in the app, and learn everything they need to get started right away. Each lesson will build on the previous one. Week 1Lesson 1Loading, Trimming & ExportingAnd introduction to the CapCut app where we will learn how to access video files and create our first project. We will first learn to trim clips and export them to create our first basic video.Week 2Lesson 2Adjustments, Effects & FiltersWe will review what we have learned so far, then learn how to adjust the color of our video. We will do this using 3 separate tools- the adjust feature, as welll as effects and filters.Week 3Lesson 3TitlesWe will review what we have learned so far, then progress to the addition of text to our videos through the Titles feature.Week 4Lesson 4TransitionsWe will review what we have learned so far, then move into transitions. We will define what they are and then show how to add basic and custom transitions to your video.Week 5Lesson 5Music & AudioWe will review what we have learned so far, then finally address audio and music. We will talk about some of the problems that mayi arise and how to get around them.
