In this Story Based Spanish lesson, students will learn important vocabulary through the fun and immersive story "Tomás Juega en la Lluvia" (Tomás Plays in the Rain). This lesson is designed for 3rd to 5th graders (ages 8 to 11) and is perfect for beginners looking to build their Spanish skills in a fun, story-based way.

Students will learn about:

Weather (e.g., lluvia – rain, nubes – clouds)
Clothing (e.g., botas – boots, impermeable – raincoat)

 The class will focus on introducing vocabulary through a story, with pronunciation practice, sentence-building, and comprehension activities. Students will also learn how to use these new words in sentences as they follow along with Tomás’ adventure in the rain.


Vocabulary Introduction: I will introduce the key words students will need for the story.
Storytelling: We will read the story together, with pauses to reinforce the vocabulary and check comprehension.
Quiz and Review: At the end, students will take 2 quizzes.
