It is a introductory course on Java Programming. Where we learn the following :- What is an algorithm? What are hardware and software? What is a program? What is the language of the computers ? Why learn Java ? Java compared to other languages. How to install Java on the machine and Eclipse IDE on your machine. What is public static void main? What is a java class? First Java program hello world program. What are Objects and classes? Learn the oops concepts. What is method overloading? What is method overriding? Variables and data types in Java Basic Operators in Java Loops in java such as for do-while while and the if else statements Arrays and strings in java All these will be taught from the perspective of a beginner in programming no prior knowledge is needed. We will go through few slides to understand basic concepts and see a few programs as well. My teaching style will be simple to make sure everyone grasps the concepts well. Also a few quiz or assignment may be given to see the understanding. It will be focused on learning programming in a fun and easy way! Work with Best Buy as Java SDET.
Learning Goals
Children would learn core concepts and programming in Java. All that is needed is a laptop with windows preferably and installation of java and eclipse will be taught if not pre installed. The aim is to get the children comfortable with object oriented programming and Java in particular.
