In my years of experiences one common thing I have witnessed is a struggle for students to be able to read a novel and successfully answer literary questions. In most cases, the ability to read a select text is not the issue. The issue arrives when the teacher asks for students to respond to what they've read. I have been teaching English Language Arts and Reading for six years now. I have my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a focus on English. I am Reading Endorsed for all grade levels and ESOL endorsed as well. I also have a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and a second Master's in Reading. I have a deep passion for teaching and get excited about reading. I want to share that excitement with my students and encourage them to get excited about reading as well.
Handouts will need to be printed prior to the start of class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
