Kitty Care Basics
In this class your child will learn the basics of caring for their cat or kitten. They will also be able to share about their own pet and ask questions related to their pet.

Your child will learn about the basic necessities that their pet needs to be well cared for including food, water, shelter, daily care and observation of their pet. This class is structured so that we can first dive into the basics of cat/kitten care, then play a fun game, learn more about how to best observe and care for our pet and then finally share our pets with the rest of the class if time permits. My teaching style for this course is very laid back. Students are encouraged to ask questions about their pets and to participate in the knowledge they are gaining. I am happy to share my slides with students and no writing or note taking is required. No previous pet experience is needed. This course is intended for beginners who are just looking to learn the basics about cat/kitten care.
Learning Goals
Students will learn:
- The importance of healthy food and water in their pets life.
- Why activity and play are good for their pet.
- How to make daily observations to see if their pet is feeling well.
- Ways to provide shelter for their pet indoors and outdoors.
