US Grade 5 - 8
This is an ongoing class where students learn about a new country each week! It is perfect for kids and teens to learn history, science, geography, culture and become excited to travel the world themselves one day. We'll start by learning where the country is in the world, learn what its flag looks like, as well as some of the symbols and icons of the country. We'll learn what language they speak and some of the cultural norms practiced by the people of the land. An interactive group...
Students will learn substantial amount of information about each country which include the: government, major biomes, cultural norms, history, famous stories, landmarks (natural and manmade), folklore, and more!
I have traveled to, and / or worked in 61 countries, produced 130 travel show episodes and written hundreds of articles about traveling the world. I lived in Africa for over a decade and was a full-time traveler with my family of six for over 5 years. I'm passionate about these topics, and love sharing the big, beautiful world with curious young minds!
Homework Offered
Optional activities will be posted to further the learning including craft tutorials, creative writing prompts, and nature journaling activities. Students are encouraged to complete these and post them in the classroom to inspire others and celebrate the learning together!0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

A certificate of completion is offered for students who participate in all the sessions.
Handouts and activity pages will be added, and can be printed and completed if desired. Students are required to bring a notepad for taking notes and drawing materials for each class.
