In this course the students will learn the basic programming skills to effectively design, code and test programs using Python programming language. The 6 week long course will focus on the basics of the Python programming language, and is ideally suited for school students who are interested in programming and coding and want to learn a very popular and easy to learn programming language like Python. The course is structured as a beginner's introduction to Python programming and requires no prior knowledge and background of programming. The programming concepts, examples and exercises are created keeping the needs of a beginner learner in mind, who is interested to learn a new programming language.
The students will be assigned homework during classes 3-6, which will be based on concepts covered during these classes. The homework will be individual student task, and will take 2-4 hours each week.
There will be materials provided for each day of the course in Powerpoint or PDF format.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
