Introduction to Interior Design: Learning the Different Design Styles

In this one time class, I will teach learners some of the main different design styles and help them understand and discover what their personal style is. We will begin with an introduction of each student, discuss what interior design means, and go through each design style and discuss what specific details and elements make make up that style. Learners will share what they like about each and we will explore different items that can be used to create different design styles. I will teach using powerpoint slides showing pictures and words for different types of learners out there. There will also be many engaging activities to creative an environment where students can share what they are learning and at the end, for those who learn best with hands on activities, we will do an activity where each student will find a decor item in their home and identify what style category it would fit into. There is no experience needed to take this course, just a desire to learn and get those creative ideas flowing!
