Class Experience
This will be a one-time class available for students who are just starting out with Scratch Jr and want to learn the basics. Scratch Jr is a free beginner coding program that is suitable for younger learners from age 4-7. Your student will be learning how to form basic codes and learn coding language through creating interactive projects, stories, and games! Students will improve problem solving skills, math skills, share ideas and learn to design.
I have taught Scratch Jr and Scratch online classes from teaching private 1-1 to teaching mass trial class of 50-70 students. I am well experienced with the coding language that this program uses and the common encounters that we face. I am very comfortable with creating and adjusting projects on the spot to adapt to the students abilities. There is a lot of room for mistakes and to try again. It is s safe place for students to explore, trial and error and I am confident with answering any questions regarding the Scratch programs.
Scratch Jr is an app that can be downloaded on IOS, Android or Chromebook. Please have another device with Scratch Jr and another device with our class zoom as your student will need to see the steps to follow. No prior knowledge or experience is needed.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
