Many of us have started planting seeds to grow various gardens and that can bring up a lot of questions about how plants grow! In this class, learners will explore plants as we read "From Seed to Plant" by Gail Gibbons and learn about what helps plants grow as well as the different parts of the plant. We will begin the class with introductions, sharing our favorite kind of plant (tree, flower, fruit or vegetable). Then we will read the story and after, list out what we learned about what...
The teacher will provide the props for the diagram. Students will need to provide paper and glue to assemble the diagram. Vegetables needed for our parts of the plant puzzle include broccoli (flower), spinach (leaves), celery (stems) and carrots (roots).
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
