Class Experience
Students will be introduced to Japanese writing systems (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji). Students will learn how to write their names in Japanese (Katakana and Kanji) Students will be able to write their name in Japanese Katakana by themselves at the end of the class.
Teacher Lynn (リン 先生) completed her Master’s degree in Oita, Japan. She was a teaching assistant for Japanese middle school, high school, and university in-person classes in Japan. She has been living in Japan for 5 years (since 2017). Teacher Lynn not only intensely studied the Japanese language, but fell in love with Japanese culture and discovered the passion for sharing such a beautiful language with students. She has been a private Japanese online tutor for over 2 years.
Homework is not given in this 1-time class.
Paper/Notebook Pencil/Pen
Students will be asked to write their names in Japanese katakana by themselves at the end of the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is not needed for this course. All content is appropriate for all students of every background.
No sources beyond the standard Outschool tools are needed.
