I have been a working artist among young people since 2007. In the public school setting I have taught drawing, painting, photography and graphic design, among so many other things. Outside of the classroom I have mentored young artists on the basics of sketchbook drawing, cartooning and self publishing comic books. I have published my own mini comic under the title "The Colorblind Art Teacher" and self published my first graphic novel, "Larger Than Life: Greg Clamons is Alive & Well!" in 2019. I like to help others achieve their goals.

I began carrying a sketchbook around in 1994. Ever since then, I've had one within my reach throughout different facets of my life. Only in the past few years have I begun to experiment with a DIGITAL sketchbook. I love all that it has to offer and I've been able to use it in the same way I had used my physical sketchbooks. It's also helped me bring ideas to life in the classroom. 

Homework Offered
Although there will be no homework assignments  per say, students are encouraged to continue drawings between classes so that there will always be new artwork to show at the beginning of each session.

As an adult with ADHD, I use my digital sketchbook as a therapeutic device. It helps me focus and keeps me centered. I have certain techniques that I use to help me find motivation and get my creativity going.
