Come dressed up as your favorite community helper. We will learn about different jobs of people that work in our communities by reading a book, making a puppet and finishing with fire fighter song and dance!

In this class we will be reading the book Clothesline Clues to Jobs People Do by Deborah Hembrook and Kathryn Heling. We will start the class with a hello song and introduction to get to know everyone in the class. During the introduction each child will be able to show and tell their favorite community helper; fire fighter, mail carrier, police officer etc. We will then read the book and make a puppet of our favorite community helper. Student will learn about different community helpers that work in our communities.
A handout will be provided to print out before class. Scissors Glue crayons, markers or colored pencils yarn (optional) construction paper (optional) craft stick, pipe cleaner or brown paper bag
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental Guidance for cutting and gluing.
