In this class students will develop a growth mindset by learning about the brain through hands on activities and games.
Class experience
In this class children will learn about their most useful tools, their brains! They will learn how their brain works and that it is plastic (it can change). We will use hands on activities, songs, and games to learn about the brain. Children will be introduced to what their brain is, where it is, what it does, and how to better use it. Children will learn techniques to help their brain calm down when they are out of control, and will to change their language from "I can't" to "I can't yet."...
I am a brain enthusiast! I studied Child Youth and Family studies in University, a program that is based in psychology. I became fascinated in the brain, and after my first psychology class completely changed my approach to studying and learning. I became particularly interested in learning better way to teach. My goal is to help children develop the skills they need to learn HOW to learn, instead of teaching them WHAT to learn. I have been teaching online since 2015, and I am a registered preschool teacher.
