US Grade 9 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this one on one biology tutoring session, high school students will be able to ask questions and get help mastering any biology topic from the high school to AP level. Students can ask to work on any biology topic that they are struggling with, or want to learn more about. Tutoring sessions will be student led in the sense that the student will decide what material will be covered. Learners will become confident and proficient in any biology topic that they bring to the tutoring session. Learners will message me the week prior so I know what topic we will be covering. I will make sure that I prepare to meet them at their current level of understanding and spend the time deepening their understanding of the material. I am confident in tutoring from basic high school biology to the AP level. No question is too simple or complex to discuss. Lab reports can also be worked on and I can also help students devise weekly study plans.
I have a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology and have been teaching high school, Honors and AP level biology for over ten years.
Homework Offered
Homework will depend on the goal of each learner.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will be assessed on an individual basis as needed.Grades Offered
Learners should bring a notebook and pencil to tutoring session.
We will utilize materials the students have, for example if they have a particular biology textbook. And, we will also use online materials to enhance learning understanding of material if needed.
