Students will be provided instruction on and examples of the root word, create a word family using related words, have an opportunity to practice using the root's meaning in multiple ways (handouts, verbal discussion, chat discussion, annotation, drawing, etc.), and learn how to apply this knowledge to deciphering unknown words.
