Get Speaking With Confidence Continued! Small Class on Public Speaking Level 2

****This is only for students who have already taken the first class, Get Speaking With Confidence: Small Class Introduction to Public Speaking****

In this continuation to Get Speaking With Confidence: Small Class Introduction to Public Speaking students will draw from the skills they learned in the first course to continue practicing their public speaking in a comfortable, small-class environment. The first course focused on introducing basic public speaking skills and practicing these through speeches. We will continue this in this course but with an added higher emphasis on speaking! In this course students will get talking more through lots of exercises, games and challenges that will have them practicing all the skills they have learned. Here is the breakdown of the 4-week class: 

Week 1: A review of material from our first Get Speaking With Confidence class as well as exercises and games to get students talking and getting to know each other! We will also cover creating excellent conclusions for speeches. First speech topic is introduced. 

Week 2: Students will present their speeches and receive feedback from their peers and myself. This week students will be introduced to the importance of enthusiasm and how to show it while public speaking through hand gestures, facial expressions and voice variations. We will do various activities to practice this. Their second speech topic is introduced!

Week 3: Review of week 2's class. Students will present their speeches and receive feedback from their peers and myself. This week we will focus on transitions and pauses when speaking. Students will practice these skills through a set of fun activities with their peers. Their final speech topic if introduced!

Week 4: Students will present their final speeches and receive feedback from their peers and myself. We will finish with a review of what we have covered over the last 4 weeks as well as a final game to wrap up.

This class is only for students who have completed the first Get Speaking With Confidence course and wish to continue their practice! I make sure to provide a safe and comfortable environment for even the shyest of students to open up and get speaking. I hope to see you there!
