Come connect with your friends in German! Every week, we'll greet each other, report the weather in our location, engage with a weekly key word or phrase, and share our latest news—in German! My native language is English—I learned German from my German mother and took German in school all the way through college, earning my B.A. in German. I even worked for a year as an intern in the German Bundestag, in an environment of total language immersion. I have a deep respect and appreciation for the German language, which I will pass on to your learner in my class! → GERMAN BUNDESTAG One year as an intern in the German Bundestag. → ESL One year teaching English and German in Taiwan. → EARLY LITERACY Seven years in the children's department of a large public library with a focus on Early Literacy and multilingual programming. → EDUCATION Bachelor of Arts degree in INTERNATIONAL POLITICS and GERMAN; Master of Arts degree in INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS with a language focus on MANDARIN CHINESE.
The weekly discussion topic will be introduced via short video clips by @EasyGerman, showed through screen sharing. The clips shown will be carefully curated to be fun and age-appropriate.
