Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone!
My name is Rebekah, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Outschool community. I bring over 12 years of experience in teaching literature and English as a Second Language (ESL) to learners of all ages and backgrounds. My passion for language and storytelling has always been at the heart of my teaching, and I love helping students discover the joy of reading, writing, and communication.
I have a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and a TEFL certification with a focus on young learners, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in a variety of settings—from traditional classrooms and colleges, to online platforms, from young beginners to advanced language learners. I’m dedicated to creating an inclusive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves, think critically, and improve their language skills.
In my literature classes, we explore classic and contemporary works, diving deep into themes, character development, and literary techniques. In my ESL courses, I focus on practical language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—tailored to each student’s proficiency level. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, ensuring that each learner feels confident and motivated to progress.
Outside of teaching, I’m an avid reader and writer myself, constantly seeking new ways to bring creativity and innovation into my lessons. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my love of language and literature in a fun and supportive learning experience!
