Students are welcome to bring hats, sunglasses, or even a toy to show off. None of this is required but many students enjoy showing their peers their cool "hip hop" look.

Your child may wish to have a water bottle nearby.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

This class involves physical movement.  I recommend using a space that allows you child to stand up and move. This does not need to be a large space. Some families have used kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, and even outside patios. 

As the teacher, I will guide students through a warm up routine however it is not uncommon for younger students to try to skip this important part of class.

As with any physical activity by signing up for this class you are confirming that your child is healthy enough to participate and is capable of using good judgement when moving. This is not a break dance or gymnastics class but some kids will be eager to try movements that I have not shown them. By registering for this class you understand that I as the teacher am not responsible for any injury that my result due to class participation or not following class instructions.



This class includes Pop and Hip Hop music. Many young students do not have a strong understanding of music styles. I do ask for song suggestions in this class. Unfortunately, many Disney favorites can be hard to do Hip Hop Dance to especially songs from Frozen. As the instructor I inform students that I can not guarantee I will play every song requested. If your child leaves the class during the instructional portion and only returns for Freeze Dance, I cannot guarantee their favorite song will be played.
