In this one time class, students will learn the names and properties of different shapes and manipulate the shapes to build pictures. Some topics in this class include: vertices, sides, square corners, triangle, square, rhombus, trapezoid and hexagon. This interactive class will give students the opportunity to manipulate shapes on their screens and share their pictures with their peers. It is helpful if students know how to split their screen or move between tabs so they can see me and work on building their shapes. We will be using Nearpod in this lesson so if you are using an IPad or tablet you will need to download the Nearpod app prior to class. I will post the link in the chat box for students on computers.

Hi, friends! Welcome to my class! My courses are in all elementary academic areas along with some crafting classes. I love teaching! I come to you with 20 years of teaching experience and have taught all subjects in grades PK-4. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from Ball State University. I hold an Ohio Teaching License in grades Pre-K through 5. I truly believe that everyone is gifted in some way, so I try to find the strengths in my students to assist in learning new material. It is my goal to make learning easy and fun. Currently, I live in Ohio and spend my days at home with my two children. My husband teaches high school World History and coaches golf.
