What's included
Homework
2-4 hours per week. Each week, students will be expected to complete a piece of art using the step-by-step lesson video for that week. They will also be expected to participate in discussion questions.Class Experience
This is a flexible schedule class. That means there is no live meeting time. You are not tied down to a specific time each week. Just log on at a time that works for you and compete the lesson for that week! If you would like interaction between students and teacher, there is a great deal that is offered! However, that is a choice. You can also do the lessons without interaction if you choose. Each week, a video lesson will be posted. The video will contain an explanation of one art technique (perspective, positive & negative space, colored pencil techniques, and color theory.) Each video will also contain an artist study and weekly discussion questions. The video will then move into a step-by-step lesson using the newly learned information. The flexible schedule works great for this type of class because students are able to pause the video after each step or rewinding as needed. After each video, students will have six days to complete their project and "turn it in." They can do this by taking a picture of their project or scanning it and sending it as a message right on the Outschool classroom. Students will also be expected to participate in the discussion questions by responding to the teachers message titled "Discussion Questions." These will be open ended questions. Students are encouraged to interact with each other as well as the teacher by answering these questions and responding to classmates' answers. Week 1-Perspective Drawing Week2-Positivve & Negative space Week 3-Color Theory Week 4-Colored Pencil Techniques Throughout the four week class the teacher (that's me!) Will be available every day through email for questions. I will also be guiding the discussion questions.
