**** This is a subscription class. You will be automatically billed each week. Please look over the Refund Policy**** ELA , ELL, ESL, and Native English speakers are welcome! Students can learn in an informal setting. In this ongoing class, Teacher Elaine will select a weekly topic. Our weekly topics will include holidays, celebrations, customs, hobbies, sports, food, family, neighborhoods, and travel. Classes will include handouts, internet sources, slides, and a few props. Students will build their knowledge, speaking confidence, enunciation, and vocabulary usage. Teacher Elaine is an experienced ESL teacher with TESOL, OPIC, and TOEIC training. She will monitor the conversations and give feedback. WHAT TO EXPECT(tentative): 4- minutes - Icebreaker / Introductions 2-3 minutes - Listen & learn topic-related vocabulary words 1-2 minutes - Repeat Teacher-led sentence patterns 1-3 minutes - Practice sentence pattern with a partner 4-6 minutes - Work on dialogue with a partner 7 minutes - Freetalk FRIDAY TOPICS October 20th - Order Pizza - Order a take-out pizza October 27th - American Football vs. Soccer November 3rd - Pumpkins - Identify pumpkin food & drinks November 17th - Movies - Would you rather? Genre November 24th - American Holiday Foods & Regional Menus December 1st - Buying Winter Clothing December 8th - Cookie Baking- Follow Instructions December 15th - Ice Skating - Venues & Free Skate December 22nd - Ice Hockey - Identify & Describe December 29th - Weekend Activities ************************ SATURDAY TOPICS October 21st - Order Pizza - Order a take-out pizza October 28th - American Football vs. Soccer November 4th - Pumpkins - Identify pumpkin food & drinks November 18th - Movies - Would you rather?
