US Grade Kindergarten - 2
In this ongoing conversation class, students will practice conversations with other ESL students. Each week, we will have a theme. We will share and engage in conversations. Each student will get a chance to share and respond. The class will be structured as follows (Times are approximate): Introductions: 3 minutes Each student will introduce themselves by saying their name and age. Conversation Key Word Practice: (5 Minutes) We will learn and practice some vocabulary words related to the topic. Conversation Introduction and Modeling: (5 Minutes) We will learn and practice sentence frames related to the topic. Conversation Individual Practice: (8 Minutes) Students will practice using the sentence frames and responding to other students. Goodbyes: (3 Minutes) Students will receive positive praise and say goodbye. Topics: Dec. 1-7: Pets Dec. 8-14: Family Dec. 15-21: Things to Do Dec. 22-28: Favorite Foods Dec. 29-Jan 4: Favorite Books Jan. 5-Jan. 11: Favorite Movies Jan. 12-Jan. 18: Friends Jan. 19- Jan. 25: Toys Jan. 26-Feb. 1: Weather
Learning Goals
Students will improve their speaking skills by learning and practicing new vocabulary and conversation skills.

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Liberty University
I have a degree in education, and I taught grammar and reading for 5 years. I have taught over 200 students both in ESL and reading. In addition, I have taught ESL for the past 3 years. I currently hold a TESOL certificate as well.
