"Play is one of the most important ways in which young children gain essential knowledge and skills." ~UNICEF, 2018 This class sets children up for a lifetime love of learning English. We warm up with a song, an icebreaker, and a rhyme, then go into games that build and reinforce the day's vocabulary, such as "What's missing?" and "Hide and Seek with Zeke and Monique." In each meeting, we will focus on four different ANIMALS in English, while also building speaking confidence, interpersonal skills, and relationships. We will work together on speaking in full sentences, practicing common grammar patterns, such as "I have / she has" and "You like / he likes," and participate in simple natural conversations, such as, "How was your day?" and "What's new?" Learners will be having so much fun, they won't even realize how much English they're learning! ⏰ Daily Schedule: ✔️ HELLO SONG ✔️ ICEBREAKER ✔️ VOCAB RHYME ✔️ VOCAB GAMES ✔️ COLORING PAGE ✔️ CHITCHAT ✔️ GOODBYE SONG 🗓 Topics by Calendar Week: End of Section → Week of JAN 1 - Topic: Farm: cow, horse, pig, sheep → Week of JAN 7 - Topic: Farm: rooster, hen, turkey, donkey → Week of JAN 14 - NO CLASS - Teacher is away → Week of JAN 21 - Topic: Forest: deer, owl, squirrel, dragonfly → Week of JAN 28 - Topic: Forest: hedgehog, boar, rabbit, mouse NOTE: You'll notice I cap all of my classes at 5 learners — this way I can see all of the learners' screens at all times and they can all see each other for maximum group engagement.
Learning Goals
This class works on understanding and speaking English. After each class, learners will be able to identify and pronounce each of the day's four animals in English.

Supply List
A one-page coloring sheet will be provided before each class. Please print it and bring something to color with, such as markers, crayons, or colored pencils. If you can't print the sheet, please bring a blank piece of paper.
