ESL Circle Time: Full Year of Animals — Sing, Rhyme, Play, and Color!

In each meeting of this ongoing class, we learn four different animals in English while practicing common grammar patterns and simple conversations. Through singing, rhyming, and playing games, learners gain fluency and speaking confidence.

Class Experience

"Play is one of the most important ways in which young children gain essential knowledge and skills." ~UNICEF, 2018

This class sets children up for a lifetime love of learning English. We warm up with a song, an icebreaker, and a rhyme, then go into games that build and reinforce the day's vocabulary, such as "What's missing?" and "Hide and Seek with Zeke and Monique." In each meeting, we will focus on four different ANIMALS in English, while also building speaking confidence, interpersonal skills, and relationships. We will work together on speaking in full sentences, practicing common grammar patterns, such as "I have / she has" and "You like / he likes," and participate in simple natural conversations, such as, "How was your day?" and "What's new?" Learners will be having so much fun, they won't even realize how much English they're learning!

Supply List
A one-page coloring sheet will be provided before each class. Please print it and bring something to color with, such as markers, crayons, or colored pencils. If you can't print the sheet, please bring a blank piece of paper.
