Students work together in this fun one-time class to escape from the National Museum of Natural History. Students will use their knowledge of natural history, and critical thinking skills to make choices, solve puzzles and challenges, and hopefully unlock the Museum! This class is perfect for students who love logic puzzles, codebreaking, and thinking challenges. While knowledge of the museums' exhibits may help in the challenges, students are sure to learn some new fantastic information about natural history. Some of the skills and knowledge we will work on through the Escape Room challenge include: Natural History Critical thinking & logic Problem-solving Teamwork & leadership This class is sure to be a fun way to practice valuable logic skills and learn more about natural history in a safe and enjoyable environment! Watch your student's imaginations take flight after this class.... that is IF they get out of the Museum!

Teacher expertise and credentials
By profession, I am an Ecology Instructor at a local College Environmental Education Center. I have 15 years of experience teaching Math, Science, and History, and multi-disciplinary classes at the elementary, middle, and high school level. I am also a homeschool mom of 3 and co-op director. I love teaching through hands-on activities including experiments, games, and real-world adventures. Science and math classes are my current specialties, but I also love to teach adulting skills, and fun game-based or craft-based multidisciplinary classes.
I am a Google Certified Educator and a certified Vex Robotics Instructor and I have been designing escape rooms for decades!
