Intermediate - Advanced Level
In this course we will go through a history of the science of Thermodynamics with a focus on how it is applied in engineering. We will discuss the advances past and present that have and will change our lives for the better, and the different ways you might be able to contribute to those innovations. I will teach with a combination of images and hand-written notes, with open discussion and interactive questions encouraged. I believe it is important to learn these concepts for any student who is interested in obtaining a degree in engineering. This course will hopefully help people interested to determine whether they want to continue in a specific engineering field or whether they are more interested in a different career path.
Learning Goals
Students will gain an understanding of the contributions of various scientists to the field of Thermodynamics. They will learn the applications of thermodynamics and how it can and does affect their day to day lives.
