Intermediate Level
In this English language focused class, students will play video games together. Usually Fortnite or Minecraft. The main focus is on improving the students English level, as well as how to communicate effectively. My role in the class is to support the group, teach some grammar, lexis and pronunciation, as well as correct repetitive errors, be them behavioural, communicative, or language based errors. Week 1 - Minecraft Week 2 - Fortnite Week 3 - Minecraft Week 4 - Fortnite These games can encourage students to build skills like collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and systems thinking.
Learning Goals
1. Understand complex and extended speech used in the discussion of reasonably familiar subjects
2. Communicate with some spontaneity and engage in extended conversation by giving clear descriptions and expressing and explaining views on most general subjects
3. Initiate, maintain and end the discourse with effective turn-taking
4. Demonstrate a sufficient range of language to produce stretches of discourse, using some complex sentence forms and without much searching for words, while correcting most of his or her mistakes.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm Kirsty, the creator and head teacher at EnglishToGo. Most of my teaching background is in EFL instruction to the K12 age group, which I've done in class, online and in summer camps for the last eight years! My TEFL is a 120 hr course done in-class with the WORLD TEFL ASSOCIATION. I have a Bachelors degree in Management and Music, as well as various certificates in communication and rhetoric.
