Class Experience

Learn all about eclipses! An eclipse is a rare and beautiful event that happens when a planet or a moon gets in the way of the sun’s light. Here on Earth, we can experience two kinds of eclipses: solar eclipses and lunar eclipses.

This class covers why eclipses occur and explains the different types through an engaging presentation with interactive video clips. Learners will understand why eclipses occur and recognize the difference between solar and lunar eclipses, as well as total and partial eclipses while participating in class discussion. We conclude by completing solar and lunar eclipse diagrams and answering essential questions together.
