The tentative plan for this Draw and Write/Art and Writing Sentences and Sharing with others class: 15 minutes free draw 15 minutes write a short sentence 10 share with class if you want, not required Ddraw a favorite thing! Draw a friend or family. Even yourself! Write a sentence about your drawing. Share your drawing and read your sentence for the class. Fun! This is a writing class with free draw where I guide your student to write their own sentence about their drawing with focus on a capital letter and period and placing letters on the line.
Learning Goals
A good chance for your child to express their creativity. Your child will be creative in free draw and basic sentence writing skills through the experience of self-expression by following simple directions.
Other Details
Supply List
Your child will need a few pieces of paper or whiteboard for drawing and writing a sentence as well as a supply of pencils, markers, or colored pencils or dry markers. An eraser might come in handy.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
My Teacher Expertise: BA Major English and Minor Writing, MA in society and writing as well as teaching high school English and subbing in local elementary schools, and homeschooling four children. Though not a certified teacher, I have as well completed education courses. I have taught at the college level for over 10 years. This experience and education covers a span of 30 years.
