3. Compare and contrast information presented in videos and texts.
4. Explain causes and effects in response to videos and texts.
5. Analyze point of view in narrative nonfiction.
6. Synthesize information from several sources in hands-on activities.

Although this class will benefit learners of all abilities, the audio/visuals & hands-on activities which accompany the readings may benefit those with attention issues like ADHD and ASD, as well as children who learn best through "doing". 
There will be readings and videos that mention war, battles, and killing in a general, non specific manner. Although there will not be any visuals or texts describing violence with any gore or intricate detail, parents are urged to consider weather these general topics will be upsetting to their learners. There are no accounts needed for third-party materials.
