Class Experience

- Ability to identify the direction and quality of light with photo terms AND the ability to "find" the light they want to use in their photos
- Understand and use various camera angles and shot types to empower their visual storytelling ability
- Improved ability to identify details while looking through the camera and while editing photos
- Ability to create new narratives by combining 2 or more images
With ten years of teaching photography in a variety of settings to a variety of ages, and over 20 years of working as a professional photographer, Ms. Sue shares some of her own work offering helpful background information on what it took to create certain images both technically and creatively.
-New project each week. Depending on the student's level, basic effort might require 1 hour per week. **To excel and tap into blending technical and creative skills, I recommend more than an hour - spread out over the week.
- iPhone or Android that can download Snapseed - Must have the editing app Snapseed (free phone camera editing app) Please download before the first class and message Ms. Sue if you have questions.
