Create a Tropical Postcard While Learning Adobe Photoshop Layer Basics

Mastering an image editing application like Adobe Photoshop can be daunting when you try to do it all at once. However, if you take it project-by-project and learn all the options to create just one project at a time, before you know it you'll have a sound working knowledge of the entire application.

This class is for absolute beginners who know little to nothing about Adobe Photoshop. You will start with several files and use functionality in Adobe Photoshop to make a layered composite of these files. You will use specific menu options, panels and tools that we will go over thoroughly before we start our project.

Once you have a good understanding of where everything is located for this particular project, then we will start to create our postcard.

Part 1: Organize files into layers

Part 3: Rearrange layers to change the stacking order of the layers
Part 4: Apply blending modes
Part 4: Resize and rotate layers
Part 5: Add a gradient to a layer
Part 6: Add text and layer effects to a layer
Part 7: Add an adjustment layer
Part 8: Flatten layers
Part 9: Admire our work and be proud of what we accomplished!

PLEASE NOTE: I like to finish what I start. I intend to keep teaching until the project is done! I understand that you may not be able to continue with the class after the official time frame, but I will be recording the entire project from start to finish, and the video will be available once the class is over. You will not be charged extra if the class goes over.
