1 hour per week. Throughout this course, students will be assigned various homework activities designed to reinforce their learning. Following Lesson 1, students will sketch three journal layouts and choose their favorite. After Lesson 2, students will create a graphic project of their choice to refine their skills. They will then brainstorm three journal prompts for personalization, designing their journals with guided feedback in the final session, aiming to share and celebrate their creations with the class.Certificate of Completion

This engaging course is perfect for aspiring young designers who want to learn how to create their journals. Over three interactive sessions, students will discover the ins and outs of Canva, re-create a beautiful pre-picked journal, and finally, design a unique journal that reflects your style. In the first session, we’ll kick things off with a fun icebreaker before diving into the basics of journal types, sizes, and an introduction to Canva’s tools. In the second session, students will have a hands-on experience re-creating a pre-picked journal, where they’ll learn essential design techniques. In our final session, students will unleash their creativity to design their journals, explore printing options, and share their masterpieces with the class for feedback and celebration. Workbooks will be provided for each enrolled student. Get ready to unleash your creativity and leave with a personalized journal you can be proud of! ****************************************** REQUIREMENTS ****************************************** For the best virtual class experience, students must have access to Canva and create an account before the first session. It’s best if students use Canva on a 2nd device. Additionally, they will be provided with a workbook in PDF format, which they must be able to download to their computer. While printing the workbook is optional, it may be helpful for those who prefer a physical copy to refer to during the class. There will need to be a minimum of 2 students for this course to run. If 2 students are not enrolled, I can transfer to another section.
