Description

Class Experience

Explore the fundamentals of animation and its role in storytelling.

Learn how to create walking, jumping, and other character movements.

Learn techniques for creating particle effects, explosions, and other special effects.

Bring characters to life by matching their actions with their spoken words.
I have taught technology education including computer science for 8 years, 3 years at middle schools, and 5 years at the high school level.
No homework assigned.
No extra supplies are needed other than access to: https://scratch.mit.edu/
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The classes will have an informal formative assessment at the end, to see if the students was able to follow along through the whole class.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There are no safety concerns. We will be using an approved third-party tool known as Scratch. It is a safe and reliable educational resource. 
We will be using a particular website for our project.
