Code and Conquer a Minecraft Kingdom Ruled by Evil Red Sheep!

IMPORTANT: Minecraft JAVA Edition is required to take this class. Release 1.16.5 should be installed prior to joining the class (Please see Preparation Guide attached once enrolled for easy-to-follow steps)

1.5-Hour Class. Designed for Boys & Girls Ages 8-14 Minecraft is a creative game that encourages kids to make up their own MODS (Game Modifications) to fully customized with worlds, characters, and tools that make them unique. Learners are then allowed to play their games thus helping them understand the creative process involved in Video Game Design, Computer Science, Coding and Storytelling. 

Our unique approach with this program is to have kids learning how to CODE in a safe and controlled environment with other Minecrafters (Minecraft Fans) and LIVE instructors who are experts in Minecraft and are either studying or have their bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Coding. 

In this specific class, learners will understand the principles of coding in JAVA language and Sequential Thinking. The goal is to learn how to create exploding arrows, a custom bouncy gold block, and a custom evil red sheep that give you gold when you catch it! (Watch course video). After completion, kids will be able to join a private server and play their coded MOD with fellow classmates!

How is the class structured?

-Step-by-step directions guided by Live knowledgeable Instructors with backgrounds in Computer Science and Engineering.
-Social Interaction with kids from different parts of the world.
-Small group. Limited to 4 kids.
-Class runs for 90 minutes
-First code, then Play! Kids understand the concepts being taught to code their own game and then join the same server to play with their peers.

How they will be taught?
Using Minecraft JAVA Edition and our proprietary Code Editor. Minecraft JAVA Edition is available for purchase directly from Mojang or IG Vault at a reduced rate.

Platform Access?
Code Editor Access will be available only during the class. Each student will get the chance to create an account that can be used to track progress for upcoming courses related to this program.

Teaching Style?
Kids are taught in a friendly environment by encouraging them to use their imagination and collaborate with each other.

Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
No prior coding experience is required to take this course.
