Beginner - Intermediate Level

Hi, I am Ms. Pearl, I have a graduate certificate in TESOL (teaching English as a second language) and I love to teach! I will be teaching English to ELLs (which stands for English language learners). I will cover vocabulary, sounds, grammar including verbs, nouns and so much more. My class is structured in a very easy going way where students will get to ask as many questions as they want to. I will teach in a fun, easy going way using TPR (which stands for total physical response---using fun props and a dry erase board) I really enjoy teaching is a engaging way so that the learners are excited to participate in class. Learners can interact with me as much as want to. There is no experience or knowledge of the English  language required for students to know in order to sign up for this English Language Learner One-one One class. I am so excited for this class, I love working with English Language Learners. 
Themes will correlate with the vocabulary, sounds, grammar (including verbs and nouns) and so much more.

Learning Goals

Students will learn how to improve their English skills in a fun and engaging way!

Aloha!!! I am Ms. Pearl and I have been a home school teacher going on three years now, not including the preschool years. I teach language arts/reading, math, science, social studies/history, gym, music and art. I love to teach!  I have been working with children for over 20 years in daycare, school recreational, public school (assistant teaching) and art settings. I like to make art out of anything and everything! I have been doing all kinds of art and crafts from fine art, mixed media, abstract all the way to collage and everything in between for over 15 years. I also love to create healthy meals and desserts, designing, dancing, swimming, reading, traveling, geography, history, sea animals, the beach, beluga whales, horses, dogs, lions, nature, flowers, bees, writing stories, and writing poetry.  I teach art and craft relating classes including origami, card making, jewelry making, scrap booking, story times, nature classes,(such as flowers) healthy baking and cooking, book club, ESL, and creative writing classes. My B.S degree is focused in English, Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I have a graduate certification in TESOL( teaching English as a second language, and I love to learn and teach basic concepts of many different languages! I have taken many Spanish courses for over a decade and have been learning other languages for a few years!  I am a hands on learner so that is how I enjoy teaching.
