Beginner ESL Conversational Games

In this on-going beginners ESL class, students will have fun playing games while learning and speaking English! The two most popular games that I play with younger students are racing games to think of words that begin with each letter of the alphabet and drawing games to review facial and body parts, colors, sizes, animals and prepositions. Each class will rotate back and forth between racing with letters and drawing pictures. Your student will have many chances to speak, share, laugh and learn each class!

Each class will begin with the teacher demonstrating how to "introduce yourself." Then each student will introduce themselves. Then the teacher will ask some simple beginner level conversational questions to learn about the likes, dislikes and interests of the students in class. This will help the teacher to choose topics for the gameplay. Next the teacher will introduce the game of the day and give examples for the students to follow. Finally, the class will end as the students and teacher say Good-bye!
