US Grade 1 - 12
Basics of skateboarding is for everyone who has never used a skateboard before. Covers everything from warming up (stretching) pushing and stopping to Ollie-Kickflip/Heelflip my class is structured by having the child get on the skateboard that they have and set the camera up so the teacher can get a full view of the child on the skateboard. From there through demonstration from me and coaching, will progress the participant in the art and sport of skateboarding. My teaching style is patient and allows the child to get as many repetitions in as possible to allow him or her to practice and fully understand with a guide or coach what they are doing wrong as far as technique and provided positive feedback.
Learning Goals
Push Ride- getting on skateboard and turning on it. Starting off simple will allow the student to get comfortable riding on the skateboard
Ollie-one of the most important tricks to learn because so many other tricks are formed off it. This trick is not super hard to learn if taught and demonstrated right
