This one time, fun, teacher-led 30 minute class will talk about opposites and the world around us. What is an opposite? What does the word mean? We will read a book about Opposites called "Opposites" by Pamela Williams We will sing a song called "Open, Shut Them" with our hands We will play an Opposites matching game We will play a More or Less game We will sing a song called "The Opposite Song" We will play a game and compare opposites. Are they opposite or not? We will play a movement game...
Students will learn what opposite means and learn to compare two objects Students will cooperate with other students to come up with words that are opposites of the teacher's words Students will identify and gain a broader knowledge of how to describe things using opposites Students will build their vocabulary
