Are you ready to discover 28 Awesome African-American women? In this class, students will draw an awesome woman as a way to celebrate Black History Month. Black History Month is every February in the USA. It is a time celebrate, appreciate and understand the contributions of African-Americans in society. Students will strengthen their appreciation and understanding of contributions made by Black America. By drawing the looks inspired by Awesome African-American Women, students will enhance their creativity and artistic skills.
I have celebrated Black History Month all my life; thus, I am very aware of the celebration and the African-Americans who are regarded as influential people in the Black community. In addition, I have a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from USC in Los Angeles. With a combination of real life experiences and cultural studies in college, I am eager to share the beauty of my diverse community through drawing of my original character, Travel Girl .
