Do you love flying & being creative? Let's celebrate an Awesome African-American Woman who defined "cool flying" by drawing Pilot Coleman in an old-school plane. We'll talk about her training, airplane tricks and travels. Black History fun!

Class experience

Students will strengthen their appreciation and understanding of contributions made by Black America. By drawing the looks inspired by  Awesome African-American Women, students will enhance their creativity and artistic skills.
I have celebrated Black History Month all my life; thus, I am very aware of the celebration and the African-Americans who are regarded as influential people in the Black community. In addition, I have a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from USC in Los Angeles. With a combination of real life experiences and cultural studies in college, I am eager to share the beauty of my diverse community through drawing of my original character, Travel Girl . 
Homework Offered
1.) Color and post the drawing to the classroom 2.) Complete the "Travel Girl's Diary" worksheet and write about "a day in the life" of their Travel Girl.
Assessments Offered
If requested, student can receive an informal assessment of the final drawing and completed homework.
Grades Offered
** color pencils, paper, pencil, eraser 
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
