In this four week flexible schedule program learners will explore the basics of one and two point perspective, adding this key fundamental to their artistic toolbox. Each week learners will be guided through drawing exercises, video demonstrations, peer critique, and weekly discussion prompts to engage with the teacher and co learners. The material that will be covered is as follows: Week One: why perspective? One point perspective and man made objects. Week Two: one point perspective...
Learners should come away from this program with a strong grasp of perspective fundamentals, and how to apply them to their drawing practice. Learners who are new to perspective may come away with a larger artistic vocabulary and tips for art critique.
Drawing and observational work should be expected, engagement with teacher and peers in the classroom will also be part of this class progression.
Learners will need drawing paper or sketchbook no smaller than 8x10 , an eraser, ruler, and pencils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
