Description

Class Experience

Students will follow a model to create a painting.
I have taught middle and high school English for a decade. I have taught afterschool art for a year using numerous mediums: chalk, oil pastel, water colors, acrylic and oil paints. I happen to love the outdoors and grew up exploring the woods as a kid. I enjoyed many wonderful summers walking along the Tiger Lilies, Chicory, and Wild Asters.
Cheap Acrylic Paints from the Dollar Store (white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black) I will have students add white to make gradients of colors. (I'm okay with students changing the color to use what they have) Paint brushes mostly small Plastic trash bag for covering paint area white posterboard, White cardboard, heavy drawing paper, or canvas LARGER than 8" x 10" paper towel for wiping off brush paper or styrofoam plate for paints water cup or parent for washing brushes
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
